Ravenwood tipis are made along traditional lines taking features from several styles to produce a tipi suitable for our climate and conditions of use.

Our tipis are based on a 3 pole tripod with sufficint additional poles to give a round rather than an angular shape. The canvas cover is laced up the front with hardwood pins.

The tipis have an inner lining (dew cloth) which makes an inner wall about 4ft 6ins high. This prevents draughts, reduces dampness and provides an inner door. Unless requested otherwise, the cover has an oval door hole which is covered with a seperate outer door.

We provide all the necessary rope, cord, pegs and lacing pins with instructions so that you can pitch your tipi straight away. Pitching your tipi.
